Veterans’ Day Affects Payroll Submission Deadlines Next Week

Payroll Plus will be here to serve you on Veterans’ Day, Wednesday, Nov. 11. However, banks and the Federal Reserve will be closed. This affects the day we need to process your payroll in order to maintain your current check date. In order to ensure your employees are paid on time, you will need to submit your payroll information as described below:
If your check date is normally Wednesday, Nov. 11
Checks will not be able to be cashed and direct deposits will not appear in bank accounts until Thursday, unless you change your check date to Tuesday, Nov. 10. In this case, you will need to submit your payroll information by noon on Friday, Nov. 6. If you would like to move your check date to Thursday, Nov. 12, you can submit on Monday, as usual.
If your check date is Thursday, Nov. 12
You will need to submit your payroll information by noon on Monday, Nov. 9 in order to keep your current check date.
If your check date is Friday, Nov. 13
You will need to submit your payroll information by noon on Tuesday, Nov. 10 in order to keep your current check date.
For semi-monthly or monthly payrolls that pay on the 15th of the month (Sunday)
If you want to pay your employees on Friday, Nov. 13, you will need to submit your payroll information by noon on Tuesday, Nov. 10.
If you want to pay your employees on Monday, Nov. 16, you will need to submit your payroll information by noon on Thursday, Nov. 12.
